All Katy Sue mats are made in the UK and are made with FDA compliant food grade silicone. The mats can be used for sugar paste (rolled fondant) , sugar florist paste (gum paste) , modelling paste (Mexican paste), marzipan, chocolate, candy, boiled sugar, cold porcelain, salt dough, air drying clays and embossing powders.
Guidelines for use with paste, dough:
Wash and dry the mats well before use and lightly dust with corn flour to ease release. Keeping mat on a flat firm surface, place over a rolled layer of sugarpaste (rolled fondant) and press paste firmly to anchor in position. Use a rolling pin and even pressure to ensure all areas are covered and the base is flat. Turn over and peel mat away from the paste.
